Fun for Our Troops was started in October 2007 by Stefanie Shea.  Stefanie’s husband, SSG Michael Shea, had just left for his second tour in Iraq with the 101st Airborne Division (1-75 CAV).  Stefanie wanted to do something unique for her husband and all of the deployed troops. After speaking to Mike, she learned that what the troops truly need is fun, relaxation and an overall way to decompress. Luckily, the high-tech gaming systems of the 21st century can provide just that! Stefanie embarked on a grassroots campaign to raise money to buy and send these systems overseas to deployed troops.  Stefanie approached Dana Brady to ask her to lend her expertise to the cause.  Dana was excited to be involved and the two worked together to establish Fun for Our Troops, Inc., a nonprofit organization.
